Terms of Service: SolidInvoice Usage Agreement

1Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SolidInvoice platform and related services ("Services"). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have the authority to do so.

2Account Registration and Security

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.

Notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

3Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Services. If you are located in a jurisdiction with a higher minimum age of consent for data processing, that age applies. Accounts created by automated means are prohibited.

4Use of the Services

You may use the Services only in compliance with these Terms and applicable laws. You agree not to:

Interfere with or disrupt the Service
Attempt to access data belonging to other users
Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the platform except where permitted by open-source licensing
Use the Services for any unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive activity

5Self-Hosted Usage

SolidInvoice may be self-hosted under the terms of its open-source license. For self-hosted installations:

You are solely responsible for data security, backups, and regulatory compliance
These Terms apply only to the SaaS offering. Self-hosted use is governed by the open-source license included with the software distribution
We are not responsible for performance, reliability, uptime, or data loss in self-hosted environments

6Subscription and Billing

Paid SaaS plans are billed by Lemon Squeezy. All subscription charges are non-refundable unless required by law. If you cancel your subscription, you will retain access until the end of the current billing period.

We do not store or process credit card numbers. Payment providers may apply their own terms, which you are responsible for reviewing.

7User Data and Privacy

Your use of the Services is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and store personal data. By using the Services, you acknowledge and agree to the Privacy Policy.

8Data Ownership

You retain ownership of the data you input or generate through the Services.

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display such data solely for the purpose of providing the Services. We do not sell or use your data for advertising.

9Service Availability and Modifications

We aim to provide reliable and continuous service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time. Where possible, we will provide reasonable notice of significant changes.

10Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, cost of substitute services, or interruptions. Our total liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount paid (if any) in the six months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Services, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights.

12Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that causes harm. Upon termination, your access to the Service will be disabled, and your data may be deleted in accordance with our data retention policies.

13Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and interpreted under the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Company is legally established, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction unless otherwise required by applicable law.

We may update these Terms periodically. The "Last Updated" date will reflect the latest version. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
